Ubuntu 14.04 & touchscreen

Hi,

I have installed Ubuntu 14.04 on my convertible Asus TX300CA, but contrary to the Windows 8.1 version which responds to touchscreen commands (view a book, turn pages, ...), the Ubuntu version of calibre doesn't, I can only use it with the keyboard and touchpad

Does anyone know of a fix, or uses successfully calibre on a tablet running Ubuntu?

Someone donated a windows 8 touchscreen tablet to me to get the touchscreen support in the viewer, so the viewer only supports touchscreen gestures in windows 8.

Someone with a linux touchscreen capable tablet will need to add support for touchscreen gestures on linux to the viewer.

I can't donate my only laptop for this feature, but I can help debug it if necessary.

I have a Dell inspiron 13 7347 and the touchscreen works with Chrome in Ubuntu.
