Amazon Author subscriptions

Son of a gun. I just got two notices of new books for authors that I had subscribed to on Amazon. I guess they finally fixed whatever the problem was. Of course, I had already pre ordered one of the books, but the other one is apparently coming out in 3 weeks and I wasn't aware of it. Just in time for some holiday reading.

It doesn't seem totally reliable yet, but it is a spark of hope.

I miss that feature at the old Sony store. If the stores I buy from most often now (google play, booksamillion) have author notifications I haven't found them. I know there are other non-bookstore sites that do notifications, but it was so convenient to have them come directly from the store I used most often.

I've been getting notices lately too although it still seems to be somewhat random. I get a lot of notices from Authoralerts.com linking to new listings on Amazon (both currently available or available for pre-order) but Amazon only emails me about a small percentage of them.

But a spark of hope is good.
