Auto conversion configuration
I have just updated Calibre to ver 8.1.1. I have configured default conversion from EPUB to AZW3. However, when I send an EPUB to my device it is converted to MOBI instead of AZW3. As a two-step workaround I first convert EPUB to AZW3 format, then send to device sends the AZW3 file. In previous versions I could just send to device and AZW3 was sent. I'd appreciate any advice

There are no changes to this function in ver 8. Right click on the device icon in calibre choose configure this device and make sure azw3 is enabled and at the top of the list of formats to send to the device.
