what kind of stylus works best?
I have two Sony touchscreen readers, PRS-T1 and PRS-600. I think I could use a stylus. Which kind might be best?
I have experience only of a cheap thing from the pound shop for a phone - which fell apart. I see there is a capacitive stylus around, and some have tops like pens. I am too poor to afford cheap quality. (-: |

I don't know anything about the PRS-600, but I have a PRS-T1 and the stylus that came with it is just plain plastic. You can use any object of a suitable size and shape.

Am proud owner of two Sony touchscreen readers, T1 and T2. Both came w/about a 6" plastic stylus that works very well. At one time Sony sold these for an outrageous amount of $35! However, going the cheap route, you could always use the top cap of a ball point pen and it would work just as well.

Sony T1 stylus is .135 inch diameter or 3.429mm. Larger diameter is OK but smaller diameter is not.
Adapting something you already carry (top cap of ball point pen) is great idea. Small water color brush or lipstick brush also works and can be used to brush off screen. I have used wood or plastic rod/stick about 6 inches long, including a chop stick or pencil eraser end. Most often use handy dandy finger. |
