Can't open error
Hey all,
I enjoy been using calibre for awhile without issue and then a few days ago I got the following error message after starting it up. Picture of error message is attached. I can't do anything. Can't edit, delete books, add books nothing other than see the list of books. I've tried: repairing the program option when installing Calibre Checking database Restore database. And other things I can't recall. Each one failed to fix the problem and the database couldn't be restore. Any ideas? Thanks |

Sounds as if your database is hosed. Retrieve the most recent database file from your backup. This is why we make backups!

No, not the entire calibre library, just the database file "metadata.db" (in the root of your calibre library directory). It will only be a few MB. Just copy it from whatever your backup medium is.

So I figured I would just have to add all the books again. So I tested one book and got the following error:

Do you have any kind of sync process running on your Calibre library folder? Dropbox, or anything like that?
