Need advice and support :(

This evening I found my used K4NT's screen broken. I'm really shocked because I was keeping it in a book-styled fake-leather case and a EVA hard one when not using it. It did not fall. Last time I used it was yesterday till about 12am

When I received it, last year, I jailbroke it and was happily reading epubs etc since then. But some days ago it started freezing and I had to re-start. It happened 2-3 times (when on Librerator or reading a mobi) and now...
Has it happened to anyone here?

Can't really decide what to do: going for the Icarus Illumina or buying another used one.. Or even trying to replace the screen (-> is it a really difficult task?) -____-
The only thing I care about are the page-turning soft keys or buttuns.

Never broke a pc or a smartphone, but this is the second ereader that I found broken - the first one was my boyfriend's K2 which I mistreated... -___-

I'm sooooo depressed -___-"

Sorry to hear that.

Contact Amazon first. They are known to sometimes give generous discounts on a new Kindle if you report a broken one, even when long out of warranty. It's worth a try.

Are you sure? O.O I don't believe it. Many thanks for your reply!

In the mean time I searched eBay and other websites for used things and found:
- brand new (but old) Onda Communication MyTile 0B600KT, an old e-book reader with a 6" eink screen (and 16 greyscale levels), Wi-Fi, SD SIM card and jack audio slots for 25€ shipped It can easily read epub, mobi, PDF. The device is slow and I don't think the battery will last too much, but screen quality seems the same as the Kindle Keyboard and I think I can use it as my reader-to-go for when I sleep to my bf's.
I've just found it's an Hanlin V60 but no touchscreen (and that's great!);
- used Kindle 4 NT black (arrived today and already jailbroken );
..and I'm considering buying a used Trekstor Pyrus (not mini) :-k

I definitely don't want to spend 100€ or more for an Android device, simply because eink screen is sooo fragile :/

Hope this stock will last more than a year XD
