What should I get?

I love reading. Actually, I'd take a physical book with paper pages and hardcover over an e-book any day of the week, but sometimes finding a specific book is just too much of a headache, so I'm now tending to ebooks. The problem is that reading from my computer or smartphone doesn't really satisfy me, and I think I should get a proper e-book reader, but I don't know which choice would suit best my needs. The thing is that I mostly download my e-books from... not so orthodox sources - let us be done with these stupid euphemisms: I'm pirating my e-books -, and I don't know if I could put and read them from a Kindle. So, what reader should I really get, so that I can use my huge collection of e-books (something like 30gb)?

If you prefer paper books, you can find used books cheap on abebooks.
