Newbie user and confused!

Hi fellow readers, I am NEW NEW NEW to this e-book business. I am an AVID reader and will gobble up several books a week if given the opportunity. However this makes packing difficult when we are on the road, hence the foray into Calibre. I still prefer reading REAL books but can see the advantages of a kindle or similar device. Plus not making that weekly trip to the library.
I live in Dubbo in central west NSW, where it is hot and dry but the air is clean and the sky blue. Looking forward to extending my knowledge on this site. Cheerio!

Welcome to Mobileread. Ebooks are real books - books are thoughts and ideas and words, not print and paper.

Just a quick heads up that since you're in Australia and a library user, it's a good idea to look beyond Kindle - libraries here don't do Kindle ebook lending. You need an ereader that works with ADE (Adobe Digital Editions) epubs, or one with the Overdrive app (mostly tablets and phones) if you want to go in that direction.

Now, see? That was painless.

1) You've now introduced yourself in one forum.
2) And your question (a different post, in the correct forum) has been answered.

Life is pretty good....

Welcome to Mobileread.
