Calibre stuck on "initializing user interface"

OK, I was trying to upgrade to the version 2.49. After installing the update, Calibre gets stuck on "initializing user interface." Where should I start with fixing this? Deleting 2.49? If so, what's the best way to do that?

If you want to revert to aprevious version simply install the previous version, links to all previous versions are on the download page.

Thanks. That seems to have worked. I reverted back to 2.46 which is what I was using.

Just to update you. I actually continued to have problems with Cailbre getting stuck initializing interface. On a lark I decided to try the 64bit windows version since my PC is 64bit. That does seem to have fixed the problem of getting stuck on initializing interface. I've restarted Calibre several times and it has opening up every time.

Thanks for the help. It was reassuring knowing that I could uninstall and reinstall Calibre and it wouldn't affect my Calibre Library.
