iPad Mini 4 (WiFi) IOS 9.2.1 - Using Kobo app

I am trying to get to grips with using Kobo with an iPad, after three years using an original Kob Arc (which still works fine).
Am I correct in thinking with the latest Kobo app you cannot have all your unread books on your device. So far I can only see the book that I am currently reading, to see my library I have to be online.
I also think that with the current Kobo app setup it is not possible to have more than one book open at a time?
However, I visit places where wifi is not available so am looking for away of having unread books on my iPad as per my original Arc.
I tried emailing the books to my iPad via the cloud, then downloading the attachment, my first attempt seems to have failed, the Kobo app on my iPad would not open the book? (need to try again). This could be difficult to confirm as the Kobo app will seemingly only allow one book open at a time, I currently have one book open for reading.
I realise that some of the restrictions with the Kobo app may be due to Apple and the software, in my case IOS 9.2.1.
Some help would be appreciated from anyone who has had a similar iPad experience. (not to heavy on the techie stuff please)
I use Calibre in it's simplest form and Apprentice Alf to remove DRM

Thanks

As far as I am aware the kobo app can only read kobo bought ebooks downloaded from the cloud. You can download as many as you want and start reading as many as you want.

I've multiple books downloaded and I've opened two of them and they both show in my I'm Reading collection.

I turned my wifi of off and my downloaded books are accessible and can be read.

If you want to read epubs on an iPad why don't you use iBooks? Or you could use the Kindle app if you convert them to mobi and email them to the Amazon Cloud.

For an completely separate app Marvin is the best one. It has its own forum on Mobileread.

I use Kindle myself for my own books, even kobo bought epubs as I convert them to mini and email them to the Amazon cloud, that way I can use the kindle app on any device and my kindle Voyage.

In case you are confused kobo does not have a 'cloud' option for non kobo ebooks.

Josieb1 ;
I use the Kobo app which so far I am happy with. I know that Kobo does not have a cloud.
All of my books come from Kobo, I'm not a fan of the Amazon way/method.
I have just tried downloading to my iPad three books, the Kobo app only shows the book I am currently reading!
I still wonder if the problem is due to Apple....

I'm on the same iOS as you and I don't have a problem so I'm not sure what's going on with your app. My suggestion is to uninstall. Then reinstall and just download your books first, then open a few and move to chapter one (or where you last left off as the app will remember), and then go to the I'm reading collection to check they are showing.

There isn't an Apple problem with this app. In the screen shot I have two currently reading both downloaded into the app, and both accessible without wifi. The first book is hidden behind the panel.

Josieb1:

I could kick myself, I should have tried a re-install before today, I've been trying to sort this for the past couple of weeks.

I must assume I had a corrupt download as I can now see my library off line and everthing now seems to be "pukka" as some say.

Thank you for telling me to try what should have been the blindingly obvious.

Ciao

I used to use Marvin, but after I discovered Bookmaster, I switched over and have been happy so far. The developer is actively answering questions in the Bookmaster thread and is very helpful.
