Device: Kobo Aura
Automatic, Complete Backup of Kobo Aura

I am trying to set this up for my sister. Recently, her Kobo Aura froze and I had to factory-reset it. She lost her books (no big deal) but also her annotations (a much bigger deal).

I am hoping for some guidance. I want to set up a complete backup system so that if/when this happens again, I can restore her books AND annotations to the device without losing anything. Ideally, this system would automatically backup the device on a specific day of the week or something, over wifi.

I don't mind doing a complete backup because the data size is trivial; she only has a few books on the device.

Suggestions from first principles? Right now I just copy an .epub file onto her reader. I don't even use Calibre or any library software. So I am flexible about what I use to get a solution.

Thanks in advance!

Be far easier to make a backup by USB. Just install a sync tool such as Always Sync and have it configured to copy files from the Kobo whenever it's connected to the PC.

Does the Aura have an sd card slot? If so, can a backup program be loaded onto the device to auto back up to the sd card?
