Lost books in library

There is a separate thread about losing books

I have a similar issue but sufficiently different to use a new thread

Is there any way for calibre to look at the library directory and list/show me the files/books that are not in calibre itself

I do not now how the books get lost and want to know what I have lost

Icon of the library => Library Maintenance => Check Library (Sorry if that is not exactly the name, I use the Spanish interface)

Is there any chance you folk used a tag "News" on the missing books?

That one (Tag) has a special property and cleans out old News.
