There are reports here of this being done. But, I can't find recent mention. The last time I saw it, they just copied the database and all the books as you have. But, there has been changes in the database and I think the contents of the table "user" are a little more device specific. It might work to copy the contents of the table "user" from the database on the Glo HD to the one from the Touch.

Can you point at the thread with the instructions? I think I know which one, but I couldn't find it. I want to check what was suggested and then I can have a look at the current firmware.

To ease the pain of the error, take a copy of the user partition after setting it up. When this happens next, use the PC to do the setup and replace everything on the partition with the copy. This should put you back at the same position as before.
