File names and slash / in the title
I have a number of books (magazines, to be more specific) with '/' in the title, e.g. 'Newsweek 2015/52'. When I save files in Calibre, using a simple template featuring {title}, all slashes are replaced with underscores ('Newsweek 2015_52.pdf'). In Calibre Companion, I get a folder (Newsweek 2015) with a file inside of it (52.pdf), i.e. Newsweek 2015/52.pdf is understood as a path and gets split.
Is there any way to replace / with _ inside for file names in Calibre Companion, too? I hope there is another solution than changing titles in Calibre. |

Just to be sure, are you using CC's template system to generate file names? If so, what exactly is the template?

I use the CC's template system, with the option "Use CC template everywhere" and the {title} - {authors} template.

Thanks. I have changed CC to change slashes and backslashes in template items to "_". This is what calibre does. The change will be in the next beta.
Note that explicit slashes in templates (e.g., {title}/{authors}) will not be replaced. |

Thanks! Looking forward to the release.
And explicit slashes are, well, explicit for a reason ![]() |
