Thank you to the Sigil developers for all their work over the years it is much appreciated.

Is it possible for the text used in the Sigil interface be increased in size? My eyesight is poor and I know I am not the only Sigil user with poor eyesight.

The text I am referring to are things like the explanatory text and labels used in the Preference dialogs and the Search and Replace dialog. It would also be ideal if the text for the search and what is to be replaced could be made larger.
It would be ideal if all such text could be made adjustable but if that would be too much work if the existing text could be made even a couple of points larger it would help greatly.

A few questions ...

Is zooming the text not possible via your operating system? Does using your OS Accessibility features help?

Does changing your OS system display font size impact the Font Size inside Sigil?

Do any of the Preferences settings impact these Dialogs?

As far as I know, we do not specify a font size in those dialogs so it must get its default setting from someplace.

We will look into it.

+U to select a screen magnifier. (Press

+Esc to disable the magnifier.)

I am using Win 10 and yes it has Accessibiltiy features but they are more suited to people with worse eyesight than mine.

Following this up I was able to get the 'Ädvanced sizing of text' to work. This has allowed me to increase the size of a lot of the text in the interface (which is helpful) but it does not appear to affect the text I mentioned. I already have changed the global "change the size of text, apps and other items" to 125%. I do not wish to enlarge it more as it creates other problems.

Thanks for the tip about the magnifier. I gave it a try and it was different to how I remember it was the last time I tried it. I will play with it and hopefully I can use it to replace my use of a glass magnifying glass.

Unfortunately I did not find the Guide for Individuals with Vision Impairments advice particularly suitable for my eyesight,

@Thasaidon - yes it has changed, it's simpler - IMO a change for the better. Here are the direct keyboard shortcuts for the magnifier - Windows 10 Magnifier Shortcuts

Hi,
As far as I can tell, we do not set any specific font sizes for any dialogs in Sigil. This must be determined by some default setting in Qt if the Sigil Appearance Preference setting have no impact on it.

I will keep looking.
