Aura H2O help! half of the screen is off

Hi! I hope someone help me..From this evening half of The screen of my e-reader has become gray. In The remaining portion that is also not ok, appears a black stripe that appears and disappears. what con be? I use it everytime with is case and it never fall.

Looks like either a failure of the controller chip, or possible the cable leading to the screen.

But either way, it's a hardware failure

Ya all straight lines so does look like a controller/cable hardware issue. If it's under warranty still I'd start there as it will likely be covered.
