Hi all,

Am considering purchasing an Hanvon e920.

I am looking for a unit to do writing, PDF reading and some browsing.
If you guys have some time I'd very much appreciate your experience with using the unit.

1 - Writing
How well does handwriting recognition work on the device? Any delays? How reliable is the recog.

2 - PDF reading
This seems a pretty solid feature. Any thoughts on this? Does it support multi-column viewing?

3- Browsing
I understand this is a minor feature for this device (and e-inks in general). However:
Is there the option to disable automatic loading of media/pics? If so, how does this affect page load times? What's the average for blogs/article/text-based webpages?
Does the device automatically select mobile versions of websites, where available?

Any other general info would be great, or links to forum posts. Are people happy with the device, would they buy again?

Should I be looking somewhere particular? Or posting in discussion?

You have already posted in two forums which is against the rule. The fact is there is not many people in MobileRead using this older device. If you don't get a reply it is likely because there is little information available. I suspect the device will work fine in your application but the Android group is probably a better place than the two places you chose since it is an Android device. You might want to ask a different question in that group.

E920 is Win CE. E930 is Android.
