Shelves : from a stolen Aura HD to a Glo HD

hi there,

It's been a while ago but I managed to create custom shelves in Calibre on my Aura HD. This custom metadata and all my books were kept locally so all was good...

But unfortunately, my Aura HD got stolen last Friday and I bought a Glo HD today. Sync'd my device with my library and all books got transferred. Except for the custom shelves?

Tried KoboTouchExtended 2.5.3 as an extra plugin but the same result. Is this supported on this device? And am I doing something wrong?

The shelves not being created probably means something in the configuration has changed. Have a look at https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kobo...nd_Collections for what you need to do.

@davidfor : Thanks a lot for your help and your reply! I've just found out what the problem was. I even tried your Kobo Utilities but was unable to update to metadata. Or at least : my shelves didn't update / show up.

1. something I forgot : I renamed my custom metadata shelves to #shelvesss - also configured this in the configuration options of my device in Calibre this time...
2. sent the metadata with the Kobo Utilities and with the standard 'send to device' : didn't notice any change.
3. deleted one of my books on the Kobo - resent it and saw that this shelf appeared...

So : I've just reset my device and will be resending my library. I suspect it'll be fine this time

Actually there was no need to resend the books; as long as Metadata Management was set to Auto, when you next connected your device the shelves would have been updated.
