Want a custom column showing the indentifiers type

I'm wearing myself out trying to shape up my large library in 2.4 64bit. I keep finding something I was sure was fixed then it's not. Now it's amazon/asin identifiers have disappeared from over 800 books if my search is to be Believed "not identifiers:true".

I cannot find a way to search the identifiers field to return books with a specific type, contain a specific type, or display all types. I want a column like Formats to display identifier types (ASIN, Amason, isbn, modi-isbn, others). Not the actual numbers, but type.

I've seen references to S&R in my forum search but I want to see it in my normal Calibre screen, like next to Formats.

The following custom column template will do it:

Code:
{identifiers:list_re(\,,:.*, )}
Explanation:
list_re allows us to run a S&R on each element in a list (which we say is separated by a comma).
What we are searching for is ":.*" and we replace it by an empty space.

Well, I'm not surprised... I said you must a smart fella and you came through. I'd love to I did it after at least 6 hours research on how-to, but I'm like a worn down eraser. I got it going and it works really swell, better than a Pratt & Whitney R4630. Now two things happened here, I got what I need, and I learned how to do it next time - just ask eschwartz. No I won't do that without busting my head first.

Thanks a ton.

You don't have to bust your head open you know there are a variety of people here who are more than happy to create custom column templates on request.
(There is also a dedicated thread for them which includes many samples templates.)

Happy to help.
