Recover after interrupted download

I have bought a book on the Kobo store and my Kobo was downloading it. Unfortunately, my WiFi router rebooted in the middle of the synchronization. Now I see the book in my library, but if I open it my Kobo will freeze and reboot after a while. I have removed the book and sync'ed again, but the problem is still there.

I suppose the DB is not exactly corrupted but its state is somehow wrong. Is there something that I can do to resolve this situation?

I haven't contacted yet the official helpdesk because their always refuse to provide any help if you don't do a factory reset first, and I would like to avoid that (I have done too many, way too many factory resets).

Remove book how? Long tap + Delete book? Just removing it from a collection probably won't help. If nothing else helps, you could sign out from your Kobo account and sign back in, that's the closest you can get to a factory reset, without actually doing a factory reset. (It still resets / rebuilds the database.)

Removing the book should fix it. If it doesn't, log into your account on the Kobo web site and go to the library. Find the book in the list, select it and delete it. This will put the book in the trash. When you sync, the book should be removed. You can then go into the trash on the site and undelete it. The next sync should get it.

I can think of some more ways to do this, but the above two are the simplest and safest and should work.

Thank you. This trick worked perfectly.
