Kobo Glo unable to enumarate usb device
Hi
It looks like I can charge my device but I cant use it as a storage device. This was working fine sometime ago and it stopped working suddenly, which I have no idea about. I am using Debian Linux and when I plug the device to usb port I see that it says "unable to enumarate usb device, device descriptor read error, device not accepting adress 45 error -71 etc" type errors. The device is no listed under "fdisk -l" so the devis is not known to the system as far as I can tell. Does this mean that the usb is fud or just a software issue? thanks Last edited by loviedovie; 10-02-2015 at 10:38 PM. |

Are you sure it isn't the PC? Do you have another to test with? Also try another USB port or cable. And of course, restart the device and the PC.

Is the external sd card show when you connect the device to pc?
EDIT: place sd card first. Last edited by oren64; 10-03-2015 at 11:39 AM. |

At this point, I think a factory reset is in order. As you can see the main memory when an SD card is inserted, you can copy all the files from the main memory and restore them after the factory reset. That way you won't lose the reading status or anything. |

Are the other PCs running the same Linux version? I sometimes have issues getting the Kobo detected as well but I can't rule out a bug on the PC Linux side of things.
