Pocketbook Ultra 650 stuck at boot logo

Hi gurus!

My pocketbook Ultra has been stuck at the boot logo for about 4 days now...
I have emailed support at pocketbook asking for help and they came back saying:

1. Press and hold the Power button pressed for not less than 10 seconds (the device will go to the reset mode);
2. Continue holding the Power button pressed and connect the device to the wall charger (preferably) or to the PC via the USB cable;
3. Keep holding the Power button pressed for over one minute
4. After you release the Power button, the device will turn on and you will see the “Low battery” message. Now please charge the e-reader normally for 2-3 hours and the device will boot.
5. Then switch the device on - choose Settings - Software - Software version - and send this information to us.

I did all that (short of sending them the info) but it had no effect...

does anyone know how to hard reset the Ultra?
or of a button combination to enable factory reset?

ive tried taking it apart and looking for a reset button or a battery connector but it is a pretty well sealed unit and have had no luck...

im getting a little scared my Ultra is bricked but i cant understand why...

I had PocketBook Ultra for a short while and then I returned it and kept my trusty PB623.

And I was going to suggest what you already tried.

Put in on a charger. Not PC, a wall charger.
After 5 minutes press power and keep pressed for several minutes. It should wake up.
If this doesn't work I do not know what else to do.

I can't find video on youtube with PB Ultra 650 disassembly instructions. Even tried in Russian.

i dont have a wall charger with me as i am at work atm but i do have an external powerpack with a 5V2A output which i have been using to charge it.. as far as i can tell it is at full battery as the charger turns itself off when not drawing power....

i shall try as you suggested.. it is kind of awake already, just stuck at the boot logo

Hey, so thank you for all your help Kacir!

I managed to get it working! it turned out to be the sdcard.... somehow it had corrupted, i took it out, rebooted the Ultra and it booted fine... put the sdcard into my phone to try and format, phone wouldnt recognize it so i put it back in the Ultra, rebooted and everything worked fine!??

Mine went to blank screen and won't budge.

Try this:
- put it on a charger, let it sit for 15 minutes
- with charger still attached press and hold power for a long time (120 seconds)
- let it fully charge
