Edit Dictionary In Text File

I did some changes to my dictionary as txt file with Notepad++.

from

I want to do delete text "[...]" from the text file, but didn't find a way with Notepad++.

Is there another software more user friendly that can do the changes without writing a cod, text editor ?
Maybe i can use Visual Studio C++, but i forget how, and it take me a lot of time to learn it again .

I appreciate any help or advice.

You mean you want to delete everything between square brackets? Very easy with a regular expression, which I believe Notepad++ supports?

Search for:

\[\c*\]

And replace it with an empty string. I'm petty sure that'll do the trick.

Include the the brackets.

I want to delete all the brackets in the file (163431 words), i don't want to delete it manually.
I Can only mark "[" or "]" with Notepad++.

Did you try the search and replace operation I suggested? It really should work.

Yes, i try "\[*\]" bat it mark only "]".

There was a typo in my original post. Search string should be;

\[\c*\]

NO, it didn't work, i try all options and also with new file.

Do some experiments and find what works. It'll be something close to what I suggested.

I used \[...].
every point equal one character, \[...]=[abc], \[.....]=\[abcde].

I find a solution to the problem i post here.

-If a phrase shows as "word-word" it douse not show the definition, despite that there is definition to phrase "word word".

1)open the text file with Nodepad++,copy all content to Excel, you get two columns A=word B=translation.
2)copy column A to new file in Nodepad++, replace all character " " to "-".
3)copy the new column A from Nodepad++ to column C.
4)use this function to all the cells in column D.

=IF(A1<>C1,CONCATENATE(A1,"|",C1),A1)

5)copy column B to E.
6) copy column D and E to a new file in Nodepad++.
