Which ereader that can show 2 ebooks simultaneously?

Is there any ereader that could show 2 ebooks simultaneously with a split screen? Upper half of the screen for the first ebook and lower half for the second ebook.

By "ereader" do you mean "eink reader", or "tablet"?

You can come pretty close to it with some reading apps. For example, if reading PDFs is important to you (and academic PDFs are a prime "use case" for wanting to access multiple documents simultaneously), the "GoodReader" iOS app has a tabbed interface which allows you to flip between two (or many) different documents - or even different parts of the same document - with a tap on the tab bar.

iOS now has Split View so that you can have two apps open at the same time, so long as they're apps that support Split View - but we still don't know what the OP means by "ereader", so it's all a bit moot.

Unfortunately, though, it doesn't allow you to run two instances of the same app, which is why I think personally that if this is desired functionality it's better to use an app like GoodReader which supports it "natively".

The OP didn't specify the same app, just two ebooks simultaneously. And Goodreader doesn't do what they want, which is to show one ebook in half the screen and another ebook in the other half.

Absolutely. We're just providing the OP with additional information to let them make an informed choice. I wasn't suggesting that it was an ideal solution.

The xo-4 Touch can do it. You simply launch two windows each with a book, and slide around and resize the windows.

If you need to do that often, you could try to install Compiz on top of the existing gnome 2, so you could simply hit Windows-right arrow for one window and Windows-left arrow for the other window. That will automatically give you a left and right tiling without needing to resize manually. Then you hit control-rt arrow in both windows to rotate 90 degrees, then you effectively have a top and bottom split with just a few key presses.

Note the discussion here if you actually want to acquire one:

In short, you can't simply buy one of these on amazon.com.
