The Next Together by Lauren James (ISFDB) is the 1st novel in her Next Together series of YA sci-fi historical timeslip/time travel novels with strong f/m romantic elements, starring a perpetually reincarnated young couple who are tasked with mysterious missions before being tragically torn apart until their next lives, this installment the 1st part of a duology and the one telling their tale in a partially epistolary style, as from the 21st century future they look back upon their past encounters in historical records of the 17th century onwards and try to figure it all out, free courtesy of publisher Walker Books.

This was the featured Free Book of the Week in the iTunes UK store and is apparently being promoted in conjunction with the recent release of the 2nd novel which wraps the duology up. This one actually looks pretty nifty from the opening chapter sample, and the customer reviews say it tends more to science-y than romance-y.
