Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/DRM-free) Unconditional [Australian Medical Illness Romance]

Unconditional by Cherie M. Hudson (who, as it turns out, also writes under the penname Lexxie Couper, from whom we've gotten a few Samhain-published erotic romances free in the past) is the 1st in her Always series of f/m New Adult contemporary tearjerker romances set in Australia, centred around young persons with incurable medical conditions finding angsty love nonetheless, this installment starring a college student diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's Disease, free courtesy of publisher Pan Macmillan Australian's Momentum imprint.

Normally I'd say this was being made free to promote the upcoming next-in-series, Unforgettable, but that's not actually slated for release until October, by which time this will probably have rotated off the freebie promo listings. OTOH, that does give you a nice long lead time for this to rise to the top of your TBR and actually be read so that you'll consider purchasing the next.

Currently free @ B&N UK (doesn't seem to exist in the main store yet), Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians and DRM-free at Kobo), and directly from the publisher's webstore (DRM-free ePub/Mobi bundle available worldwide).

Description
She has a future she can’t escape. He refuses to let her face it alone.

Twenty-one. The age when adult life begins. In my case, it’s the age I learned my future sucked, big time, and there was nothing I could do about it. Every minute of every day I face the fact my life is only going to get worse. Why? Because I have early-onset Parkinson’s disease. I’m not going to let it get me down, but I also can’t let anyone close. That’s not fair to them, or to me. Trust me. So that means my heart and my soul are off-limits.

But then I traveled to Australia on a college scholarship program and life royally screwed me over. Again.

Raphael Jones is an arrogant Australian celebrity, the hottest guy on campus and a pain in my ass. Worst of all, he makes me ache for a life I’ll never be able to have. Especially when he takes me in his arms and does wicked things to my body.

How do I have a hope of surviving ten weeks in Australia when it’s not just the paparazzi who have me in their sights, but Raph as well? Because Raphael Jones is a man who always gets what he wants. And no matter what I say or do, he refuses to accept what I so painfully know: a life and future with me is no life at all.

I *like* your parenthetical synopses!

I just wanted to tell you I love skimming down the forum titles and seeing how you summarize the title you're telling us about.

"Australian medical illness romance." I love it! What a quick and apt synopsis. And not a combination of words I'd ever seen strung together...

Thanks for making it easy to decide which posts I might be interested in--and giving me a smile almost every day with 'em.
