Glo HD patch question?

1.I got the same version (3.16.10) from Direct Links to Kobo Firmware
2.I got the patch from patch A or patch B
3.After I put kobo-update-3.16.0.zip to 3.16.0_source,I click 3.16.0.bat and produce KoboRoot.tar.
4.I put KoboRoot.tar to connected Kobo device's .kobo file.
5.Unplug and restart ,and nothing happen?

what is wrong? thanks!

3.16.0.bat is supposed to produce KoboRoot.tgz. If this is not happening, then something goes wrong. Are there any error messages displayed?

Is your device running 3.16.10 or 3.16.0? You must be very careful to use the patch and download the firmware version that exactly matches the version the device is currently running.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but I see nothing in your post that suggests you're looking in the correct subdirectory, namely 3.16.0_target, for the relevant output file KoboRoot.tgz. The fact that you mention KoboRoot.tar indicates you're looking in 3.16.0_source instead.

Thanks all. ....
I found it,and updated it with patch B, but it was unstable to become a brick..and my lucky is Li-ion battery is full... I had taken and rewritten my microSD with Backup.img..

My version is 3.16.10..@@ ..I will try other patch .....
