Dropped PRS-505

I dropped my PRS-505. It was in a case and there is no external damage, but the screen is scrambled with what should be on the left on the right, and vice versa, and other corruption. Apart from that it seems to work normally.

Does this means that it is actually smashed? or does it means that a connector has come unseated inside or something like that?

I can't see anything on the screen that looks like a crack or anything.

It sounds like a broken substrate to me. You won't be able to see the crack in the glass surface because it's underneath but it's broken. Sorry.

Your 505 is broken and the only thing you can do is buy another Reader. My recommendation is a Kobo Glo HD ot Kobo Arua H2O. Both are good and both handle ePub using a newer version of RMDSK (ADE) than was on the 505. So unless you were reading LRF, all of your eBooks can be moved to a Kobo Reader as is.
