Plugboard usage with KCC generated mobis [noob]
I am trying to get series and volume number into the title when saving/exporting KCC (https://github.com/ciromattia/kcc) generated manga mobis from calibre (device is a kindle paperwhite).
While I am able to get what I want for non KCC mobis, when I transfer KCC mobis I get the correct cover but the title is still the one originally assigned by KCC. Any suggestion on how to 'fix' this would be greatly appreciated, thanks! UPDATE: if I first convert KCC's mobi to mobi using calibre, it works (but images are smaller so not a good solution: I guess this is what KCC means when saying not to reconvert using calibre ...) KCC generted mobis are dual mobis metadata update is not supported for dual mobis. So either use the KindleSplit tool or ask the KCC developers to add an option to not generate dual mobis.

We stopped to split KindleGen output on KCC level due the fact that creating AZW3 file from hybrid MOBI when it have several hundred MB can take minutes (on even more on old hardware).
@flat__line - You have two options. Split it like @kovidgoyal said. As long you don't make AZW3 -> AZW3 conversion in Calibre they should not fall apart. Or use ComicRack metadata support in KCC itself to set all data you need. |
