Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I got a Kindle and started looking around on the net. I had no idea the ebook community was so developed. MobileRead is fantastic! Here's looking forward to many good conversations and reads.

In the city, but up in the Northeast corner where things are a little mellower.

You're right. I am loving the Kindle already. It has its weak points, but the positives far outweigh them.

Hi Warren and welcome to the Forum. I got a Sony 505 back in January and feel about like you do the Kindle. It's positives far outweight the negatives.

Thanks for all the kind replies, everyone. Yes, my LA is the fast, big city one, not the relaxed, bayou one. But my wife and I have visited and enjoyed Louisiana. It's a beautiful place. I'm working on downloading the MobiPocket guide now, looks great. The NE corner of LA is Eagle Rock, as well as Glassell Park, Cypress Park, and Highland Park. So, only about 10 miles (15 to 45 minutes in traffic

) from the Hollywood sign.
