eReader as a terminal

I'd like to use a reader as ssh-client.

As I read before, this was possible with former versions of kindle, but a jailbreak seams to get hard now.

What I really need is a reader and the ssh-client.

I hate it, when my devices call to there home.

Tablet or phone w/JuiceSSH + Kindle + Gaffa tape = problem solved

Cou could play some adventure instead from the kindle browser with parchment:

Have a look at the Kobos. There is someone adding a command shell that should be usable for what you want, though I don't know about ssh. Plus people have installed alternative Linux distros or Android on some of them. Check the Kobo Developers forum.

There are also a couple of e-ink Android devices that might work. I don't know much about these.

I am waiting for a more detailed answer. Hope to get it soon.

At the moment, I am using my android phone with ConnectBot and Moon Reader. That works, but battery lifetime is around 4 hours, and the display is rather poor in sunlight.
