calibre.exe - corrupt file
I keep getting this message when sending books to my Kindle Paperwhite (3rd Gen): The file or directory \system\thumbnails is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility. I ran the Chkdsk on Windows 7, which took about 5 hours, and I still get this message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Calibre and changing from 64 bit to 32 bit, but I still get this message. The only problem it seems to be causing is that thumbnail images no longer show up in my Kindle library. I've been scouring the internet for answers. I'm hoping I find some here.

You need to run chkdsk on the kindle drive not your windows drive. For example if your kindle connects as F:\ the run chkdsk on F:\ not C:\
