Kobo app not working on iPhone 6 w/ ios 9
I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS 9 and it seems like my Kobo app stopped working.
I was able to open it once but it froze trying to open a book. Ever since it gives me the blue loading screen and then nothing. My screen eventually goes off after no activity and then I can't turn my phone back on until the Kobo app gives up and closes. The gist is, my Kobo reader app just does not work. Is anyone else experiencing this? |

I don't use the Kobo app, not a fan, but I just tried it on my iPhone 6 running iOS 9.1 and it works okay. Kinda sluggish, especially in library view.
Maybe delete the app and reinstall? |

I just installed the Kobo app on my iPhone 6s. Seems to work. I did load and I can search the store.

Working fine here, so it's not an iOS9/Kobo incompatibility. I agree with delete app and reinstall, if a simple device restart doesn't work. Make sure both your OS and your app are the latest versions.

..and as if by magic, the shopkeeper appeared.
![]() @bookwurm70 - Firstly, this isn't an overly common problem. Were you running v7.9.3 of the app before the upgrade to iOS 9? Just to clarify, it sounds as though you had the app on the same device, all you did was to upgrade the OS on the device, and that is when you saw the problem. Would that be correct? v7.9.3 is currently the latest released version of the app, so you're up-to-date there ![]() I don't suppose you happen to have a Mac do you? I ask because, if you were willing, and able to do so, I'd like to get a log from the device as to what it's doing when you run it. I mention a Mac because there is an app named iOS Console (http://lemonjar.com/iosconsole/) that will allow us to get the log easily. I'm not sure what to use for Windows based machines, but iTools (http://download.cnet.com/iTools/3000...-75629761.html) seems to pop up in results. What you'd need to do is to connect the phone to a machine, get iOSConsol or iTools running, it'll display the live log from the phone. Then run the Kobo app, let it launch, display the blue screen, and ideally let it sit there for around two minutes. Then save the console log and send it over to iosfeedback@kobo.com It's possible there may be info in there that can help us figure out what is going on. Something is upsetting the app when it's trying to upgrade. The only workaround I can think of would be to delete and reinstall the app. The downside is that you will lose any side-loaded books (plus your position in them and any annotations you made), plus you will need to download any books purchased from Kobo again. |

Thanks for the help, everyone.
I finally just deleted the app and reinstalled. Seems to be working fine now. Thanks again! |
