The Color Purple for $0.17 on Amavon

I normally don't stray into the ebook realm, my tastes being more audiobooks, but when I saw this I figured one of you out there may find this interesting. Over at Amazon (US, didn't check others) you can get "The Color Purple Collection" by Alice Walker for a whopping $0.17. The collection includes the Pulitzer Prize–winning "The Color Purple," "The Temple of My Familiar," and "Possessing the Secret of Joy." Don't know if it is a pricing error or how long it will last, but if you're interested you can get it here.

Enjoy!

PS - Aaand let the beatings begin for flubbing the title. Sorry, folks, it's late.

It's been this price at Amazon and Google Play since the first of July. If you only want The Color Purple, it's 9 cents. It was mentioned in the affiliate links for arcadata thread for July with a link to Amazon, but I'm not sure anyone mentioned the price match at Google. I'm surprised they're still at this price as I think it's a pricing error. The price at B&N is 9.99 for The Color Purple and $16.49 for the collection, and even higher at Kobo.

Thanks. I've never read her but that is a bargain. For a dime, a nickle, nad two pennies if a person doesn't enjoy the book they aren't out much. Has anyone here both read the book and seen the movie? If so how does the movie compare to the book? I don't want spoilers just an overall impression of how faithful the movie is to the novel.

Definitely for $.17 it's worth adding to my collection. I'm also curious about the comparison between the movie and the book as well.

But this is how I end up with more books than I can read in 5 lifetimes .

There have been some great deals of late. .17 for this one and the other day I got Hotel for a couple dollars. That was a good read. Just took me a few days. I have no idea how long this one will take me. A good long book is a pleasure though.

Definitely a good deal, not my normal type of thing, but for $0.17 + being able to use some of my promo credits making it free, very much worth grabbing.
