The Unforgivable Fix: A Justice Novel by T. E. Woods is the 3rd in her Justice/Mort Grant series of psychological suspense thrillers (may contain f/m romantic elements) starring the eponymous Seattle police detective, and the mysterious titular "Fixer", a ruthless killer whom he turns to for help (again, apparently) when his daughter returns pursued by a deadly crime lord, free courtesy of publisher Random Penguin House's Alibi imprint.

This is B&N's featured Free Fridays book and you can read the blogpost about it here, although there is no featured author recommended reading this time around. Apparently this is being made free to promote the upcoming 4th-in-series (due in December, if the Kobo pre-order listing is accurate), and if you happen to like this one, all the other books (including the 4th novel pre-order) are discounted to just $2.99 in most venues (not couponable).

Currently free @ B&N (also UK), Amazon (available to Canadians & may also drop in the UK), Kobo & Google Play (both available to Canadians). This doesn't seem to exist outside of an omnibus edition in the iTunes store, though it might possibly pop up later.

I must say it's nice to get some variety in the cop vs. killer thrillers we get and it's a refreshing novelty that this time around, the ruthless killer is female (but not one of those obsessed stalker types) and together, they actually do fight crime!
