My new PaperWhite due this afternoon

UPS is scheduled to deliver my new Kindle PW this afternoon. I know I have to charge it and load my books but I cannot wait to start using it. I also got the Amazon case for it, the one that when you open the cover it wakes up, and when you close it, it goes to sleep.

My PW has arrived, I have it registered and joined to the network and also charging at this time. My collections are downloaded and a few of my books, mostly the ones that I am now reading. The screen is very clear and easy to read on. The screen is smaller than I remember with the kindle kbrd. And much smaller than my Nexus 7 but I believe I am going to enjoy reading my books much more and the eye strain should be much less.
I am very happy so far.

I also like the case, It is very much like my case for my Nexus 7 and should provide enough protection for my PW. So far I am very happy and reading on my new PW is a pleasure with no strain. I love the light and I am not noticing any shadowing.

I can already tell I am going to live my new kindle, No eye strain at all reading on it. And I love the front light and I do not notice any shadows.

I thoroughly enjoy my Paperwhite and it's one of the original ones. But, trust me, if you get a really bright light and stare at the screen long enough expecting to find shadows and rainbows and Cuban flags...you will.

It's a lot more fun to simply enjoy reading, though.

Ok I have had a chance to really read on my new PW2 and I find it great for reading, no eye strain at all. I find the balance and weight to be great even with the case on it. I also love the syncing between it and my kindle app on my Nexus tablet. I also have caliber with a fairly large library (~5K) of books and mag. I love emailing my books to my kindle cloud and having the sync work when I switch from PW to kindle app. I can say I love the PW2, with that said I am not sure I like the ads and I more than likely will be opting out of them shortly.

I found the ads to be annoying so I disabled them. Now I feel that my PW is really my PW.

Now that I have had a chance to read using the PW2 for a few days I can say that I really love it, no eye strain at all. And I can read in the outdoors as well as in bed in a dark room. I am thinking now that I may never read again on my Nexus tablet.

I hope you meant 5mb or gb, because 5k wouldn't even be one book. Books are usually 350k to 500k in size.

I updated the firmware on my PW2 to the latest update and it does seem to make the type more vivid, much sharper. Other than that I did not notice any differences.

The more I read on my PW2 the more I love it. And I have to say that my eye strain is way down but not gone. Due to my eyes I will never not have some eye strain. I love the size and the weight of the PW2, and I really like the Kindle case for it. And really see no reason to ever have to remove the case.
