PDF Forum Spam

Admins -- There are now three recent threads in the PDF forum that are pretty clearly spam. We've been getting these threads every 2-3 weeks, always started and immediately answered by newbies, and always about corrupt PDF files, with the response pointing to a software package to fix them. The threads are started by elijahirwin27, girossapoh and kedarhandal. There were a few others, but they got deleted.

When reporting spam, is anything that is typed into the message box seen by the moderators?

Clicking on the "Report spam" button is a shortcut that will send the following message:

Quote:

Spam reported with the powerful magic of one mouse click

and tag the report with a "Spam" prefix in the reports forum.

First post by new user with suspicious link

You can put whatever comment you wish in a report. The "Report Spam" button is simply a shortcut for saying "This is spam".
