Add books ==> Add books from directories, including sub-directories (One book per directory, assumes every ebook file is the same book in a different format)
this can import books saved with save-to-disk as well as from a messed-up library, it reads data from the backup metadata.opf file as well. Run that (from a blank library) on your entire old library to recreate the old library. (Partially --some things won't be restored, including custom columns and other settings.) Afterward, use the Find Duplicates plugin to cleanup and merge with the backup. Then start taking backups more often. ![]() I assume restore database failed because of duplicate book ids or something? |

Not sure why it failed just told me corrupt every blasted time. I admit I get slightly impatient as an IT geek with ADHD (you would think it would get better with age). Any chance that will keep the meta data - I have a habit of renaming books with series first then number so I can find them easier in my ereader. Thanks

Like I said, if Restore Database (the preferred solution) fails, then importing the library root using the Add Books option I mentioned above will import all books including the saved metadata columns. If you have custom columns, the new library you are importing into must have those columns as well.
Feel free to describe exactly what the Restore reported when it failed ![]() |

If you can still access your library you could use the modify epub plugin to save the metadata to the files changed since your backup. Then save these books to a single directory (assuming they are epubs).
This will result in the books having all the updated metadata when you import them into your restored library. |
