I bought a Voyage when they first came out and had it sent to my sister in Tennessee. At the time I bought it the only case available on Amazon was their Origami case so I ordered it. Three weeks ago my sister came to Mexico and brought me my Voyage. I could see some obvious enhancements in the Voyage over my Paperwhite 1 but the Origami case was so inadequate, and so irritating, it made my impression of the Voyage device less than outstanding.
Today I got a new case for the Voyage. I should be furious. The shipping firm, DHL, gives meaning to poor service. Their so-called tracking system is useless and their customer service is poor, and their delivery estimate date is a joke. Add to that the fact that the $15 case became $36 with shipping and taxes. The new case is lovely, minimalist, has automatic on/off and a magnetic closure but it covers the charging light. So, I got out my pocket knife and whittled a little off the case so I could see the light. Once I was done I put the Voyage back in it's case. I love both the case and the Voyage. Having a nice case makes the whole experience, for me, better. I was shocked at how much my overall impression of the Voyage improved. FWIW, my case is a Moko. I gave it a four-star review and mentioned the one and only drawback of covering the charging light. |

Happy to hear you're pleased with your new case. Personally I really like the Origami case (I have the leather version of it).

I'm glad you like your new case! That's the only thing that matters.
Just want to throw out one more +1/high five for the Origami case though (I feel like I hear more complaints about it than I do praise). I love mine and utilize the origami stand all the time. The fact that it's utterly gorgeous (limited edition leather) doesn't hurt anything either. |

I keep checking Amazon for another real leather option that isn't one of the Origami cases, but so far I haven't seen one. I thought that surely by now some third party would have one out. If anyone knows of one that I'm missing, I'd really like to know about it.

It's very rare for a third party to actually do a proper leather case. The only people I can think of are Oberon, but their voyage case isn't a great fit from what I've heard

I have written Kindle and suggested a case similar to the Paperwhite case but with the magnetic holding system of the Origami. For my ideal case the automatic-on feature is a given.

Noreve do proper leather cases, but they're pretty expensive, and the nicer ones will probably take a few weeks to arrive. I've been looking at one myself, but £80+ is a huge amount to pay for a case!

From what I read on another forum, the Noreve cover lacks the auto on/off feature - that's a deal breaker for me, especially for that price. Their website offers almost no information about the case, which I found irritating. I have a Noreve cover for my DX, which I absolutely love, and if one met all the criteria I want in a case, I'd think it worth the money, at least for me.
I did have to wait a month or so when I ordered the Noreve for my DX, but found the quality well worth the wait. I'm still looking for the "perfect" case, but having no luck. I had a wonderful brown leather case for my K3 made by Octovo, but apparently companies such as that haven't been interested in making covers for the Voyage - I think they're losing money by not filling a need that many of us would be willing to pay for, but maybe there's something I'm missing about all this. That's good to know. I'm thinking of getting a new case for my phone and was looking at Noreve.
For my Kindle, I ended up with an Incipio case which doesn't have the sleep/wake function. I'm already used to switching the case on and off by the button on the back, and it's easily accessible with the Incipio case, so I don't actually miss that ability. |

It just seems like pure laziness for a case maker not to include the sleep/wake functionality, which involves no more than putting a small magnet in the appropriate location in the case. It's a such a useful facility that I'd never buy a case without it.

I love my MoKo case for my Paperwhite. It's not leather (even though it says it is) but it's very hard and sturdy plus it was really cheap. It's magnetic so it puts the Kindle into sleep mode with the cover on. It was just $10.95 plus shipping on Amazon.

I totally agree. I not only won't buy if it doesn't have the feature but I won't buy anything from a company that doesn't clearly state in their ads that the wake feature is lacking.

things on amazon may have changed, as a quick search shows me voyage cases with sleep function from fintie, omoton, etc.

Oddly it does have magnetic closure, it just doesn't switch the device on or off. I liked the case design and colours more than I was bothered about the sleep/wake function.

I like the idea of the autosleep function that comes with the cases, however I have found that I can not take the weight of the covers on my wrist. I use a pouch which I remove the paperwhite from so that there is no cover at all on it when I am using it. My question is this, do the pouches come with the auto off?
