calibredb list --for-machine doesn't works in local

Hi! I'm trying to do this command:

calibredb list --for-machine

I have an vps with calibre installed and it works, but in local it returns:

Code:
calibredb list --for-machine
Uso: calibredb list [opciones]

Lista de los libros disponibles en la base de datos de calibre.

Cuando alguno de los argumentos de calibredb contenga espacios, póngalo entre comillas.

calibredb: error: no such option: --for-machine
Can Anybody tell me why?

Thanks a lot

What version of calibre are you running?

What do you see if you run calibredb list --help

I don't understand but my VPS is debian and my localhost is linux mint, I've installed calibre today on both systems.

In local I have 1.25 and in VPS 2.5

Thanks, I'll try to update

You need the binary calibre installation from the developer's website. A common problem with linux distros is that miost software will be out of date. calibre is released weekly.

You *could* get around that by running Arch Linux or Gentoo (I use Arch). Or use the self-contained binaries at http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux -- or see my Fully automatic calibre installer/updater for linux
