Settings synchronize between libraries

Hello,

I have one book library (with personalized columns with "template setting" and graphical emblems in cover grid setting etc.). But when I created new library, this settings are not created.

Are there any solution how this settings migrate between libraries?

Thanks a lot.

When you create your new library, check the "Copy structure ..." box as shown in the attachment. This will create all the custom columns in the new library.

Thank you Chaley

I omit this option. Great to know it for future.

But are there any possibility to synchronize two existing libraries?

Thanks a lot

I don't think so. But you could create a third (empty) library with the correct library as a template and copy the other one into that.

You can copy the custom column definitions from one library to another by copying a book between libraries.

Quit and restart calibre, selecting the library that has all the column definitions. Ensure that the "Copy to library" command is available either on the menu bar or the context menu for books in the library (Preferences / Toolbars). Next select a book and choose "Copy to Library", specifying the library that does not have the columns. You will be presented with a list of columns that are in the source library but not in the destination library. Choose the columns you want created.

Books you have previously copied will have empty values for the new columns. Recopy the books if you want the values.

Thanks a lot guys,

I found this techniques already. But said to say chaley, that columns defined as "Created from other columns".

FYI I have set up template {:'approximate_formats()'} | {#pages:|| p., } {:'human_readable(booksize())'} {pubdate:| , |}

So this columns are not propagate with the technique.

Seems, that when I change the "look and feel" in one library I have to change it manually to all my libraries. Right?
