Help with Moving Books to SD Card

Hi all.

I am a very new user to Calibre Companion, but an experienced user in Calibre.

I have a Nook HD+ that is running the ice cream sandwich (4.0.4 I believe) of Android.

I have gone in to the CC settings and told it to save my books to mnt/sdcard/books

I sent one book (using the wireless connection) from Calibre to CC and it shows up in CC. When I click on the book (in CC) it shows the path should be on the sdcard.

However, when I disconnect from wireless and look (connected directly to my PC) in the SD card folder, the book is not there. It is still on the internal storage of my device.

Help ... I'm thoroughly confused. I have over 3,000 books and I don't want them on my internal storage - I want them all on the SD card ... thanks.

On most android devices /mnt/sdcard is the internal memory. You can tell because there will be many other directories at the same level as "books". The "real" SD card will be named something else, probably with "ext" somewhere in the name. Look in /mnt for something other than "sdcard" and try it.

I don't have a nook so I can't be more specific. Perhaps a nook user will come along and be able to give you the path.

Thank you ... That is what I was doing wrong ... not looking for "ext" ... Found it and it now works. Thanks so much.
