File sizes
I have some epub files which I have converted to Kindle using Amazon's Kindle Previewer software. They are almost entirely text, the only image being a small (11kb) cover image.
To my surprise, the mobi files were much bigger - eg 462kb compared with 115. Is this what you would expect? |

If size is an issue, use Calibre to convert your files and select AZW3 as the target format. |
