iPad version of Gerty with sync

The new version of Gerty, just out now, supports the iPad now as well. The sync of reading position between iPad and iPhone seems to work (via Dropbox) which is great news as the Marvin version no longer works for me.

I didn't expect to like the infinite scroll option, but it works very nicely on the iPhone 6+, especially on crowded trains as I can just slowly scroll the next lines into view at the top of the screen without adjusting my eyes. (Sometimes the top of the screen is all I can see it gets so crowded...)

Thanks for the heads-up! Version 1.0.2 worked on my iPad Mini, but it was formatted for the iPhone. This version fully fills the Mini's screen and looks quite nice.

I'm still wrestling with vertical scrolling. The edge-tapping option does help, but I'm fighting my lifelong habit of "turning pages".

Oooh, missed that! Yeah, vertical scrolling is awkward at first, but you get used to it.

I don't really mind the vertical scrolling, but, I just can't get over the fact that it only partially scrolls. Is there a way to scroll the whole page?

The "edge-tapping" option results in "almost" a whole page scroll, but several lines from the prior page appear at the top of the new page. The prior-page lines are shaded for a very short time to allow you to see where "old" ends and "new" begins. I find this quite distracting.

Gerty was designed to be a vertical scroller ... just drag the screen up or down ... just a few lines, full page, or several pages. However, I'd really like an option to vertically scroll in full screen increments.

I like 'page turning' much better than vertical scrolling. However, I do like the 'shading' and the previous few lines being shown.

This wouldn't be scrolling at all, just a page turn with a vertical animation. It would be nice to have it. as an option.

I just discovered Gerty and I like the look of the app very much. I'll keep an eye on it, but as it is I can't use it, since apparently it doesn't support landscape mode on iPad, or page turning. When these two options are added I'll certainly give it a try.

Landscape mode is set by going into the themes settings. At the very bottom it'll say "Orientation Lock". It doesn't look clickable, but when you hit it, it'll switch over to landscape.

Edge tapping will let you "turn the page". It's kinda weird now that I'm just trying that feature out, but it'll probably get easier.

Thanks! I finally found the orientation mode after a few minutes of searching.

Edge tapping doesn't really turn the page (and by that I don't mean a page turning animation, but switching to the next page of text). It scrolls down, but you don't know where your text will be on the page. Not for me, I'm afraid.
