Has anyone here at MR tried using Mr. Dent's formula for writing and had success with it?

That's a lot of action/drama to pack into one story of just 6,000 words! I've never managed to do it, but it might be fun to try.

It's a pulpish story, one that will splash sleaze all over the place.

Ah ok. I'm adapting a Scrivener template that I built (based on his Formula) for writing projects. His formula, a 9 day writing schedule and the 7 point system match up well together I think, so I'm mixing them together. For a 50k book that means typing 25 pages a day, which is a lot but certainly not impossible I'd think.

This sounds very interesting. Perhaps you would be willing to share your template?

--- I can't recall if Dent's Formula (or the writing) is copyrighted....if not, it might be helpful to post it here....we need to check on this, though.

Sure. I saved it as a template just last night. It should import with no trouble (after unzipping).9 Day Novel

I have no idea if it is or not. That's one reason I posted the link. There is a book over at Smashwords that discusses the basic formula though. Smashwords It's just $3.99 for a copy of the text.
