Sorting tags into specific order
Is it possible to autosort tags into a specific order? For instance, various books may have the same tags, but all in a different order. Thank you.

Tags are not stored as an ordered list -- they will automatically get saved in the book's metadata in alphanumeric order.

It would seem that they're displayed in alphanumeric order in the Tag Editor, Book List, Book Details (sidebar and floating window) and they're 'unordered' (I suspect they're actually in tag id order) in single metadata edit and book jacket.
@taratears - I'm not aware of any way to have them sorted everywhere - but imo, it's not an unreasonable request. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 03-15-2015 at 04:03 PM. Reason: typo |

tags are really stored by 'assigned Key #' in the (tags table) DB.
and applied 1 Integer value per tag in the booksTagsLink table Assignment of the 'Tags Key' is first to use order |

The only place they are unsorted is in edit metadata, where they are displayed in the order they were input. If you want them sorted in the book jacket, you can do so by editing the book jacket template changing {tags} to {tags.sorted}
