				Converting to HTMLZ format...

I saved a Word doc a HTML (filtered) and imported it into Calibre. I then converted to book, selecting HTMLZ. I then opened the book and tried to save it. My only option was to save as AZW3. I was under the impression that if converted it to HTMLZ and edited the book that I'd be able to save it in HTMLZ format. So, my question is, how can I save the book to HTMLZ format? My understanding is the HTMLZ file will contain several other files, including a standard HTML file. Thanks, Andy |

In this list you see that DOCX ranks above HTML ==>> What are the best source formats to convert?. Whilst DOCX is only one position higher in that list, my experience is that the difference is significant. FWIW : I convert ~12 DOCX a day, when Kovid implemented DOCX support my average EPUB editing work load fell from ~2 hours a day to 15 minutes a day; I was previously saving Filtered HTML in Word. Save to disk is probably obeying whatever is set in Preferences->Save to disk->Formats to save list, if all you have is AZW3 then that's the only choice you'll be offered BR Last edited by BetterRed; 03-29-2015 at 05:00 PM. | |

Thanks for that info BetterRed. I was able to make corrections in Preferences, so that did help. I'll try your suggestion as well about importing the DOCX file and see how that works out. Thanks, Andy |
