Colour coding CSS

Error: position is a (correct) property, but the value ? doesn't exist. Warning: -epub-ruby-position: over: -epub-ruby-position is an unknown property name (as the warning says). over is a non-existent value. This is not explicitly named as a unknown property can have no value of course, either existing or not. Demonstration! Warning: -epub-ruby-position: left: left is an existing value, but the warning is the same than with non-existent value over. Last edited by chaot; 03-02-2015 at 02:15 PM. Reason: addition |

@eschwartz
My post can be understood as a complementary approach and practice-based. The period gone is irrelevant as long as the post as such is okay. Your link points more toward the general use of colors for 'Syntax highlighting' rather than the specific one in calibre. Last edited by chaot; 03-03-2015 at 05:14 AM. |

By design -- you seem to be implying the colors have nothing to do with syntax and indicate errors instead, which is flat out wrong.
Either way, the time lapse is indeed relevant, since necroposting is an official no-no. |

@eschwartz As far as I have understood now: Defined/undefined HTML elements, attributes, properties or values (or whatsoever) gets syntax highlightning in calibre. But a undefined ''xyz'' must not be wrong automatically and therefore to be removed.
