Slow Day on the net

Wow,
I took a break today from the Computer, Yesterday was a good day on MR read alot of interesting posts, Got alot of good back and forth responses, Heck I even got my first couple of visitor messages thanks ZP and DG. But I think today everyone seemed to take the same break havent seen alot of activity maybe everyone decided to sleep in or spend some quality outside time. For what ever reason I really enjoy this board and all the information on it. Thanks to all who make a very hard and enduring time bearable.

yes, sadly many of the Ministers are absent this weekend. apparently there's some kind of fireworks display going on the US that everyone wanted to see.

they should be back soon.

i myself am tempted to go to a concert this afternoon but technically i have things to do at home.

It could also be that all us bookworms are actually reading rather than hanging around the Forum. Nah, I think most of us tend to do both at the same time.

I would think Home will be there when you get back!

alas, that would indeed be the case, and then i would be even *less* motivated, having spent however many hours dancing and drinking. if i want to get this stuff done (and i use the word "want" in the loosest possible sense, as technically i don't personally care one way or another...) i'd best do it now.

It was my wife's birthday weekend and if I had any hope of happiness for the next thre to four months, I needed to be in attendance. Not that she is demanding or bitchy, but it is much better to put aside things that are purely for oneself on occasion to bring happiness to one's partner. Sheesh, this is starting to get seriously sappy...

I've been vacationing in Orlando with my folks, and running around a lot (in fact, the one thing we didn't see much of was fireworks, because we couldn't get to a good vantage spot in time!). I fly back home today, whereupon I can apply my nicely-rested mind (and my nicely-sunburned shoulders) to forums anew.

Not to get all preachy or anything, but for myself, I appreciate the efforts made by my forefathers to give this country a start, and I enjoy celebrating that day. But even without fireworks, I celebrate the birth of the U.S.A. in my heart.

I also had ribs, burgers, and rum-runners.
