I can't go to the output options

Greetings,

When I go to Preferences / Output Options, I get this error :

Then if I go in the other preferences, the screen is buggy until I close and open Calibre again...

Can you help me please ?

QT4 is no longer supported (Calibre 2.x). 1.47 is the last QT4 version (supports older Plugins)

What version did you update from?

Want there an issue with some of the plugins where you had to manually remove a configuration file as a part of the QT4 to QT5 migration?

Not with the PI that were updated for both.
Usually the when the PI just failed, it was a corrupt config
AFAIK the config is QTversion unaware

No, a few plugins generated a Python UI file. They should have been regenerated when the plugin was updated, but at least one plugin didn't do this and the files had to be deleted. But, the KePub Output plugin wasn't one of these.

@myki: Looking at the error and the source code, that error is not from the latest version of the plugin. The latest version is 2.3.3. Could you check what you have installed?

With the help of your comments, I remembered a fact : I met few weeks ago a problem with the KoboTouchExtended plugin, I couldn't open its parameters anymore, I think with a quite similar error...
Since reinstalling it didn't do anything, I have deleted a config file and everything seemed to work again...
Maybe I did something wrong ??
(sorry can't remember which file I have deleted...)

You have the Kepub Output plugin listed twice? If so, that's probably what is causing the problem. Unistall one of them, restart calibre and uninstall the other and restart again. Then install it again. Hopefully that will fix it. If it doesn't, you will need to delete the plugin from the plugins directory while calibre isn't running.

I could uninstall the 2nd Kepub 2.3.3 so I have restarted Calibre.
Then I got one Kepub, but the version changed to 2.2.16 with Calibre asking me to update that plugin (that I can't uninstall because Calibre claims that it is a system one).
So I launch the update of the plugin, restast, and get the 2 Kepub again...

I tried to launch Preferences / Output Options before updating to test, and it failed...

Any ideas, please ??

What I suggest is:

- Uninstall the one you can
- Open the plugins directory. The easiest way is to go to the Miscellaneous page of the preferences and press the "Open calibre configuration directory". The plugins directory is in it.
- Close calibre
- Find the file for the plugin. It should be "KePub Output.zip". Delete this file.
- Start calibre hopefully everything is OK.

Now I can go further with my accents problem when sending to my folder device
